FAQ
Export each element of your track as a separate audio file — drums as one file, bass as another, synths, vocals and so on. WAV or AIFF at the original sample rate is ideal (44.1kHz or 48kHz). ZIP everything up and send it over via WeTransfer or Google Drive.
Step-by-step guides for the most common DAWs:
Don't worry if it's not perfect — I'll let you know if I need anything else.
Not at all. You send me audio files, not a project file, so it makes no difference whether you used Ableton, Logic, FL Studio, GarageBand or anything else. As long as you can export each element of your track as a separate WAV or AIFF, we're good to go.
Before you commit to anything, I'll mix the first minute of your track for free. You get to hear exactly what my work sounds like on your music before spending a penny. If you like it, we move forward. If it's not what you were after, no hard feelings and no charge.
That's what revisions are for. Every package includes at least one round of revisions — you tell me what you'd like changed and I go back in and adjust. The Pro package includes two rounds, and Bespoke is unlimited until you're happy. In practice, the free sample mix usually means we're already aligned on direction before the full mix begins, so revisions tend to be minor tweaks rather than big changes.
Standard package: 5 working days. Pro: 4 working days. Bespoke: 3 working days (priority slot). This is from when I receive your stems and we've agreed on direction. I'll always give you a specific delivery date when we confirm the project.
For most streaming platforms — Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube — a well-mixed track sounds great without separate mastering. The platforms apply their own loudness normalisation anyway. That said, if you want the absolute loudest, most polished result for physical release or want your track sitting perfectly next to commercial records, mastering is worth doing. I can recommend trusted mastering engineers if you want to go that route.
A 24-bit WAV file and an MP3, both fully mixed and ready to upload to streaming services or share directly. The WAV is mastering-ready if you want to take it further. I don't watermark or limit the files — they're yours to do what you like with.
Completely fine — most of my clients are people who make music for the love of it, not full-time artists with teams around them. You don't need to know technical terminology or have a perfect session. Just make the music, export the files, and I'll handle the rest. If you're unsure about anything, ask — I'd rather spend five minutes explaining stems than receive a file that doesn't work.
